Client Testimonials

“Outstanding collaborative effort between myself, Malcolm and my contractor.”

Description of work:

new construction architectural design services

“Found him very helpful.  He had all the answers to the question I asked him.  He is up to date with the local building codes.  He is a great help making practical decisions and works with you in what you want in your design. “

Dennis G.

So much to say in response to the latest drawings.  My response to the bedroom wing is very positive.  Rich is extremely enthusiastic about what you’ve done with the wing in the library.  Please use us as a reference with potential clients.  You are amazing.

“Mr. Burton was the ultimate professional from my first phone contact with him through our plan design and review through his planning board appearances and the ultimate completion of our project. There wasn’t a detail missed or glitch solved. It is rare to find people as competent and easy to work with as Malcolm. I deal with design professionals and contractors in five states in my line of work and wish they all were as good !
I wouldn’t hesitate for a moment in recommending his services.”

“I found Malcolm by searching the internet after Hurricane Sandy.  I didn’t have any references on Malcolm prior to working with him and was really pleased that I found a top notch architect (lucky as well!!).  Malcolm was a pleasure to work with.  He is incredibly thorough and worked with us through each step of the design process.  He was a wealth of knowledge and information and helped to guide us to make the best decisions understanding the goals, budget and timelines of our project.  Needless to say, the days and months after Sandy were a bit chaotic in trying to figure out what was and was not allowable with respect to reconstruction was difficult.  Malcolm was able to provide us with a sense of clarity and comfort as we made the decisions required to get our project off the ground.   I would highly recommend Malcolm and trust him to bring the same level of professionalism and expertise to others that he brought to us. “

“Malcolm was very organized, fast and professional.  I would recommend him to anyone looking for an architect. “

‘Prompt, Reasonable, and Professional, Malcolm delivers! We utilized Malcolm on several jobs and we found him easy to communicate with as he understood the objectives and designed plans that best met our needs. Malcolm consulted with us when needed so that there was no misunderstanding, and was quite expeditious in completing the final plans. Malcolm is very easy to work with and his rates are reasonable as well. We would highly recommend Malcolm.”

“We were thoroughly pleased with Malcolm Burton’s designing our new house. His team’s attention to detail was impressive.”

Ken and Jerilee O.

“We added on a set of rooms to our house for my mother-in-law to be able to move in with us. Malcolm did an excellent job in helping us define the overall job, draft up the plans, and helped us make sure we met the various codes of our local municipality. I would definitely use Malcolm again should I ever need building plans drawn up again. Even my builder said Malcolm’s plans were the most detailed he has ever worked with.”

James R.

“Excellent – The drawings were necessary to obtain permits for the repairs of damage caused by Hurricane Sandy. He estimated that the work would take three weeks. We requested that he try to finish as soon as possible as we needed to vacate the rented house by 10/15/2014. He finished in a week. He had to submit a clarification to the Toms River zoning department which was completed in less than an hour. There is a very good possibility that we may have our permits by the end of this week. What else can I say but he is outstanding.”
